mission & values

mission

To shed light on how and why rates of anxiety disorders increase during adolescence, with the goal of improving our ability to intervene early and effectively.

To improve the lives of youth and families through research, outreach, and direct clinical care.

Scientific dissemination is an important component of my lab. Additionally, my lab aims to involve youth and families in the community in all aspects of the research process.

To reduce inequities in youth mental health outcomes through research, outreach, training, and maintaining an inclusive lab environment.

To train the next generation of clinical psychologists. In my teaching and mentorship, my goal is to train students to be enthusiastic and responsible consumers of, and contributors to, psychological science. I am also dedicated to clinical training and supervision, one of my favorite activities.
